National Mall & grab some ice cream at Jubilee

One of the classic spots to hit up in DC is the National Mall- and no, it’s not exactly a shopping mall. Surrounded by museums, beautiful lawns, and the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Memorial, visiting the National Mall is the perfect place to spend a hot summer day. Tired of the heat? Grab some ice cream at Jubilee, another DC favorite.

Eastern Market

Eastern Market is a fun place to explore for food, arts, and fun! There are both indoor and outdoor merchants, with mostly local vendors selling. It’s also close in proximity to the National Mall and the US Capitol, and is definitely worth checking out for a quick afternoon bite, or a 10-course meal at all of the different vendors!

Another great restaurant to hit up for a fancy upscale dinner is Maydan, an Arabic restaurant. Bon Appetit named this restaurant one of the best in the US in 2018, and Michelin has featured them for their exquisite dining experience as well.
